Newton Exam is a tutoring marketplace built specifically for SAT and ACT prep — connecting students with vetted tutors and grounding every lesson in real practice test results instead of a generic syllabus.
Why we started Newton Exam
Most test-prep options force a choice: an expensive course that teaches every student the same material regardless of what they already know, or a private tutor found through word of mouth with no way to verify their results or track real progress.
Newton Exam takes a different approach. Students can start with a free, full-length official practice test — the SAT in College Board's Bluebook app or the ACT through ACT's free test prep — then upload the score report and share it with tutors, so it's clear from the first lesson where they stand. From there, students can browse tutor profiles, see verified reviews from completed lessons, and book time with a tutor who teaches the exact subjects they need.
Once lessons start, students and tutors share a single live progress dashboard, so tutoring time is never spent re-explaining gaps the data already shows. Parents stay in the loop too: after each session, the tutor's notes are emailed to both the student and their parent, and progress is always visible on the dashboard.
