Tutor SAT & ACT students, on your terms
Newton Exam connects you with students actively searching for SAT and ACT help. Set your own rate, build your own schedule, and get paid for the lessons you teach.
Set your own rate
Choose your hourly rate and build multi-session packages at whatever price works for you. Newton Exam takes a flat platform fee — the rest is yours.
Work on your schedule
You decide which subjects to teach and when you're available. There are no shifts and no minimum hours.
Get discovered by students who need you
Students search and filter by subject, so you show up in front of students specifically looking for SAT or ACT help in your area of strength.
Optional background check badge
Add a background check through Checkr — a reputable, trusted screening provider — processed within 5 business days, and earn a badge on your profile that gives students and their parents a sense of safety.
Built-in messaging and scheduling
Coordinate lesson times and communicate with students directly through the platform — no juggling texts, emails, and spreadsheets.
Reviews that build your reputation
Only students who completed a paid lesson with you can leave a review, so your rating reflects real teaching, not anonymous noise.
What it costs
Newton Exam is free to join. When a student books and pays for a session or package, Newton Exam deducts a platform fee of 20% from the tuition before paying out the rest to you — no listing fees, no subscription.
Students pay up front through Stripe at checkout, so you never have to send invoices or chase payments.
Who tutors on Newton Exam
Tutors are independent contractors, not employees — you're free to set your own hours, decline any student request, and tutor elsewhere too. Every tutor lists their SAT/ACT scores, education, a profile photo, and a short intro video, so students know who they're booking before they buy.
